# A tour of the app

> A quick orientation to the sidebar, home screen, search, the agent, the library, and Settings.

## The sidebar

The left sidebar is your map of the workspace:

* **Folder tree** — every folder you can access, under the **ENTRIES** heading. Folders nest, and glyphs show whether a folder is private, shared, or open to everyone. See [Folders](/workspace/folders).
* **Saved views** — pinned above the folder tree, so the views you rely on are one click away. See [Views](/workspace/views).
* **+ next to ENTRIES** — creates a new entry.
* **Each folder's … menu** — **New entry…**, **New subfolder**, **Import files**, **Share**, **Rename**, **Move to...**, and **Archive**.

## The home screen

When you open the app you land on home: a greeting, **Today's Meetings** (today's events with their attendees), and your open tasks, sorted by priority and due date with overdue ones highlighted. Check a task's checkbox to complete it without leaving home.

## Search

Search lives in the top toolbar. Press **⌘K** (Mac) or **Ctrl+K** (Windows/Linux) from anywhere to start typing. Results come from every folder you can access, and pressing Enter opens the full results page.

## The + button

The **+** button in the lower right creates things anywhere in the app:

* **New entry** — opens the entry type picker. See [Entries](/workspace/entries).
* **New folder** — creates a top-level folder. To nest one, use **New subfolder** in a folder's **…** menu.
* **Import files** — brings documents and media into a folder. See [Importing files](/library/importing-files).

## The agent

The chat panel on the right is the agent — the built-in AI that can search, read, create, and edit across everything you have access to. Press **⌘/** or **Ctrl+/** to open or close it. See [Chatting with the agent](/agent/chat).

## The library

The library shows every asset — images, video, audio, and fonts — in folders you can access, with filters, groups, and search. See [Library](/library/overview).

## Settings

Settings holds your profile and, for workspace Owners, team management, folder administration, connectors, and entry type configuration. See [Settings](/settings/overview).
