Most things you remove in Studiograph can be brought back. This page covers what’s recoverable, where to find it, and the few actions that are permanent.

The Archive

Open the account menu (your avatar in the top-right corner), choose Settings, then Archive. Everyone can open it, and each person sees what they’re allowed to restore.

Archived folders

Folders lists folders that have been archived. Archiving deletes nothing — the folder and everything in it is simply hidden from the sidebar, search, and the library.
  • Open a folder’s menu and choose Restore to put it back, with all of its entries.
  • Delete permanently removes it for good, after you type its name to confirm.
Folder admins see the folders they administer; workspace Owners see every archived folder. To archive a folder in the first place, see Folders.

Deleted entries

Entries lists entries deleted in the last 30 days, newest first. Show older reaches further back, up to 90 days. Choose Restore to put an entry back where it was — you can restore an entry if you can edit the folder it was in. This includes the entries of a deleted subfolder. If an entry’s folder has since been archived, restoring it offers to bring the folder back too. The list is a window on your workspace’s history, not a trash can: nothing needs emptying, and entries deleted more than 90 days ago simply aren’t listed.

Earlier versions of an entry

Every entry keeps its own history. Open the entry’s menu, choose Panels → History, and pick a version to preview it, see what changed, or Restore it. See Version history.

Asking the agent

The agent can do this for you: “bring back the brief I deleted last week” or “restore yesterday’s version of this page”. It looks through recent deletions and an entry’s history, and acts as you — so it can only restore what you could.

What can’t be undone

  • Deleting a top-level folder removes the folder, its entries, and its files permanently. Anything already deleted from that folder can no longer be restored either. Archive a folder instead if you might need it later.
  • Deleting a file from the library is permanent.
  • Files deleted along with an entry — for example, the original of an imported document — don’t come back when the entry is restored.
  • Entries deleted more than 90 days ago can no longer be restored from the Archive.
